Internet presence another Chamber benefit
f The importance of having •a presence on the Internet : by local business is becom;ing more and more apparent these days. That's why membership in the Napipanee Area Chamber of Commerce includes that ' vital opportunity. In addition to many other benefits, the Chamber " includes membership information on its own website, ■_gs well as a link to the business' individual site. This helps guide traffic to existing internet sites, and adds the presence of those businesses who do not have their own websites. Why is this so important today? Well, in July alone, the Chamber website had •1,361 visitors to its site. Seventy-one percent of -those visitors were new, .meaning they hadn't visited before. Tractor, truck pull is prelude to festival
Excitement generated by billowing smoke, tractor and truck engines, crowd roar and the occasional shout "It's a full pull!" will escalate from the Callander Sports Complex Saturday, Sept. 11, when the Second Annual Nappanee Apple Festival Tractor and Truck pull gets underway. Viewers will enjoy four classes of pulls: • B,ooo# 4x4 diesel street trucks; • 13,000# & 15,000# stock appearing farm stock; • 13,500# & 16,000# pure farm stock; • and Illinois Stock Pullers Association competing in the 10,000# and 12,000# division. Gates open at 3 p.m. with the pull getting underway at 4:30 p.m. Admission is $5 per person (children 12 and
