May 17, 2010 WARSAW Duane E Ganshom, 56, of Warsaw, died at 8:38 am. Monday, May 17, 2010 at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw. He is survived by his wife Brenda; stepdaughter Brenda "Denise' (Haywood) Harrison of Argos; two stepsons, Donald Brent (Heather) Shepherd of Hollister, Calif, and Qdis Jack (Shelia) Shepherd of Plymouth; his mother, June Ganshom of Etna Green; three brothers: Ronald (Lois) Ganshom of Nappanee, Terry (Barbara Drudge) Ganshom rtf Warsaw, and Tim (Jayne) Ganshom of Etna Green; and seven grandchildren. Visitation took place from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. Wednesday, may 20 at Titus Funeral Home, 2000 E Sheridan St, Warsaw. Funeral services took place at 10 am. Thursday, May 20 at the funeral home. Burial followed at Mentone Cemetery, Mentone. Memorial contributions may be made to the New Life Christian Church, 744 S. 325 E, Warsaw, IN, 46580. Wakarusa The Wakarusa Public Library will be dosed May 31 in observance of Memorial Day. The library will open at 9 am., June 1. 'The Book Challenge' is for students in grades five through eight This is a book competition where students organize themselves into teams of two to six individuals. Twelve selected books are read as the teams prepare to answer multiple choice and true/false questions about each book. The teams will compete in an elimination tournament that will end with a final round July 14. Prizes will be awarded. The last day for teams to register is June 4. "Water Your Mind - READ" is the theme for foe Adult Summer Reading program that begins June 7. Adults and

high school students may register for this event Participants will read nine books in 10 weeks and keep a reading log. One book review will be required to be written about a book from the reader's log. The completed reading log will be the entry slip for our grand prize drawing. When the log is returned a prize can be drawn from fiw prize basket \ A children's summer reading card will be offered for those living outside of Olive and Harrison townships. These cards will expire Aug. 6 and can be used only for children's and young adult books, books on tape, young adult books on tape, juvenile magazines, and bodes and cassettes. "Make a Splash - READ!" is file theme for the children and young adult summer reading program. Registration will begin June 1 from 9 a.m. to 5 pan. in file library meeting room. Those registering first will receive a gift. Children 3 years of age and students through eighth grade may register. Children can earn four prizes by reading five books on each of four levels and completing a reading log each time.
