Feb. 11 NAPPANEE At approximately 3:31 p.m. Feb. 11, Debra Minder, 42, of Nappanee was driving a 2002 Honda Odyssey southbound on C.R. 3 and Elizabeth Demyer, 54, of Plymouth was driving a 2000 Chevy Cavalier westbound on C.R. 46. Minder was stopped at a stop sign. Demyer was approaching and did not have a stop sign. Minder proceeded through the intersection and collided with Demyer. Minder later told police she thought the intersection to be a four-way stop. Demyer told them she saw Minder's vehicle but was unable to stop. Police cited Minder for failure to yield the right of way at an intersection. Demyer was taken to the hospital with complaints of chest pain. Both drivers were wearing seat belts. Ptl. Brandon P. Denesuk of the Elkhart County Sheriff's Department investigated. Feb. 14 At approximately 4:02 Saturday, Feb. 14 Sandra Kluskowski, 22, of Nappanee was driving a 1997 Ford Expedition westbound on C.R. 6 just west of Marina Dr. in Elkhart when she lost control and veered into a ditch on the north side of the road. She reported that she passed out after the accident. Kluskowski complained of neck and back pain and was transported to Elkhart General Hospital. Photographs and measurements were taken of the scene. Police cited Kluskowski for driving too fast for conditions requiring a reduced speed. Ptl. Randy Valderrama of the Elkhart County Sheriffs Department investigated the accident.
