Hydrant flushing set for Sept. 22 -25
NAPPANEE The Nappanee Water Utility will flush all city-owned fire hydrants beginning Monday, Sept. 22 from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. They will flush at night for the safety of motorists and the flushing crews, as the streets will be temporarily flooded during the process. It will also allow for flushing during non-peak usage times, keep-
ing more water in the water towers. The water utility points out that residents may experience discoloration of their water during morning hours. While the water will be safe for drinking and showering, they warn residents to use caution when washing clothes. A tentative hydrant flushing schedule is as follows.
