in the end zone for a 22-19 Panther advantage. With 4:23 left, Glenn had one last chance to pull out a win, but after picking up one first down, an illegal procedure penalty on Glenn, their first infraction of the evening, put the Falcons in a hole and a fourth down pass by Patton was batted down by North Wood sophomore linebacker Tony Miranda, giving the Panthers the ball at the Glenn 32 with 2:23 remaining. With the powerful front five of center Josh Lechlitner, guards Austin Fink and Jason Casteel, and tackles Matt Carden and O'Brien Myers paving the way like a giant living steamroller, Titus bulled ahead twice on QB sneaks for a total of 12 yards, and the Panthers were able to run out the clock and escape with their fifth victory in a row, and their fourth by three points or less. For North Wood, Biller picked up 183 yards on 24 carries, his tenth straight game over 100 yards, and scored all three North Wood touchdowns. Unofficially for the season, Biller has 1,659 yards on 214 carries, a 7.8 yards-per-carry average, and has scored 17 touchdowns. Titus was an efficient 7 of 15 for 93 yards through the air, while Williams hauled in three of the passes for 48 yards. Glenn was led in rushing by the cannonball-like Schubert, who gained 101 yards on 13 carries. Marek added 66 yards and a TD, while Lawler had 65 yards and also scored a touchdown. Patton attempted just four passes but completed three for 26 yards and a score. Lopez led the Panther defense with eight tackles, while junior defensive end Andrew Smith added seven stops despite suffering an apparent concussion late in the game after being drilled in the helmet by a teammate during a gang tackle. Reid Gamer added six tackles for North Wood and Bellman had five stops. Big Austin Davis, a relentless 6’o", 260 pound defensive tackle, led Glenn with seven tackles, while Schubert, Cody Singleton and Craig Fitzgerald each recorded five stops. North Wood improved to 7-4 on the season, and will travel to South Bend to battle the 8-3 St. Joseph Indians Nov. 3 for the sectional championship.
