Sittler had two receptions for 62 yards and a score, plus a two-point PAT catch, while Yoder added three grabs for ,61 yards and ran for a PAT/, giving him nearly 250 yards from scrimmage on the day. On defense, Sittler, Neverman, Cody Vicary and David Brandys each had four tackles, and Sittler and Spitaels each had an interception. David Zeltwanger forced a fumble and recovered it himself for the Panthers. For Memorial, the star on both sides of the ball was clearly junior Louis Gates who rushed for 125 yards and a TD, caught two passes for 87 yards and another TD, and returned an interception 85 yards for a third score. Quarterbacks Tyler Keck and Johnny Brewers combined to throw for 203 yards for the Chargers.
