Death notices j Donna "Kay” Neff Aug. 17,2007 NAPPANEE Donna "Kay" Neff, 66, of Nappanee, died Friday, Aug. 17 at Goshen General Hospital. She is survived by one son, Brian (Keri) Neff of Rochester, Minn.; one daughter, Kristine Neff of Palo Alto, Calif.; three grandchildren: Kathryn Neff, Trent Neff and Aubrey Neff of Rochester, Minn.; one brother, Larry (Char) Wagner of Nappanee; one sister, Annette "Ann" (Mike) Umbaugh of Nappanee; and her mother, Gladys Wagner of Wakarusa. Visitation was from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at th MishlerEastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel, in Syracuse. Services were Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Saint Andrew's United Methodist Church in Syracuse with Pastor Mark Eastway and Pastor Ken Robinson officiating. Burial was in Union Center Cemetery, Nappanee. Memorials may be made to Saint Andrews Matthew 25 Fund, Calvary United Methodist Church or Brumfield United Methodist Church. The Mishler-Eastland Funeral Home, Syracuse, is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.mishlerfuneralhomes.com. Deadline nears for \ .. ■ . * Dumpling, Crabapple NAPPANEE The deadline for application for the Apple Dumpling contest and the application and entry fee of $2 for die Mr. Crabapple contest are due by Sept. 7. Each contest is open to the first 28 contestants. Contestants for Mr. Crabapple must be male and must live in the Wa-Nee school district. Mr. Crabapple will win based on dollars placed in his votes canister during the Apple Festival. The new Mr. Crabapple will be named at the festival's end and will receive SIOO cash and a trophy. Apple Dumpling contestants must live in the Wa-Nee school district and must be 3 or under as of Sept. 30. Contest viewing and voting for Apple Dumpling will take place at the depot plaza and-winners will collect their prizes at the stage area Sunday evening, Sept. 16 at 6 p.m. Forms for both contests are available at www.nappaneeapplefestival.org or from the Nappanee'Area Chamber of Commerce, 305 W.
