Jean A. Ringenberg Friday, June 22,2007 NAPPANEE Jean A. Ringenberg, 82, of Nappanee died on Friday, June 22 at 9:20 a.m. at LuAnn Nursing Home in Nappanee. She is survived by sister-in-law and caregiver, Sue E. (Timothy) Ringebnerg-Leary Nappanee; niece, Trina S (Robert) Ringenberg-Miller of Granger; grand niece', Arissa Miller and grand nephew, Brian Miller, both of Granger. Visitation was Tuesday, June 26 from from 1 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home in Nappanee and one hour prior to services. Funeral services were Wednesday, June 27 at 10:30 a.m. at Nappanee United Methodist Church. Burial was at Union Center Cemetery. Max J. Quakenbush June 25,2007 NAPPANEE Max J. Quakenbush, 86, of Nappanee died on Monday, June 25 at 1:15 p.m. at Miller's Merry Manor in Wakarusa. He is survived by his wife: Marguerit "Marge" Quakenbush; son, Steven (Barbara) Quakenbush of Nappanee; daughter, Jill (Ken) Johnson of Rock Springs Wyo.; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one sister-in-law; one niece and one nephew. Visitation was Wednesday, June 27 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home in Nappanee an done hour prior to services. Funeral services were Thursday, June 28 at 2 p.m. at Nappanee United Methodist Church. Cremation will take place at a later date at Rice Cemetery in Elkhart. Memorials may be made to Nappanee United Methodist Church. Obituary Lewis P. Snyder Feb. 9,1941 - Jan. 25, 2007 SPOKANE, Wash. Lewis Paul Snyder was bom on Feb. 9,1941 in Plymouth to David Paul and Anna Fern Snyder. He went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Jan. 25, 2007 following a long courageous battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Carolyn (Rowe) Snyder and his parents./ He is survived by his wife Charlene; three daughters: Sharry (Rich) White, Christine (Brad) McNamara and Michelle (Christopher) McClure, all of Spokane Valley, Wash, and four stepchildren. Also surviving are seven grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; five step great-grandchildren; one brother, Tom (Esther) Snyder of Lakeville; four sisters: Fern (Ralph) Costello of Plymouth, Mary (Steve) Mcßride of Bourbon, Myrtle (Jim) Smith of Lakeville and Sue (Bruce) Berkey of Nappanee. He graduated from LaPaz High School in 1959. He retired from Avista. He was a member of Fourth Memorial Church, Old Iron Steam Buffs, Jr. Livestock Booster Club and Spokane Co. Cattlemen. A memorial service will be held at Pine Creek Church of the Brethren, 69531 Pine Rd., North Liberty on Sunday, July 8,2007 at A time of visitation with the family will be held follovSg the service. libraries Nappanee STAMP CLUB The Ben Franklin Stamp Club will meet at the Nappanee Public Library on Saturday, July 14. Dr. Forest Kendall, a local collector, organizes the club and leads discussions concerning tips for new and experienced stamp collectors. Anyone in third grade through adult age with an interest in stamp collecting and trading may attend. Participants learn more about stamps and stamp collecting and participate in games for prizes. The club meets the second Saturday of each month at 10 a.m. in the library. For more information, call the library at 773-7919.
