Rev. Ralph 0. Fletcher Jan. 13,2007 EDVVARDSBURG, Mich. Rev. Ralph O. Pletcher, 85, of Edwardsburg, Mich., died at 10:15 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 13 at his son's home. He is survived by his children: Ronald (Sharon) Pletcher and Darlene (Paul) Ferry, both of Edwardsburg, Mich., Philip Pletcher of Grand Rapids, Mich., Pam Gerry) Lhigle of Niles, Mich.; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; sister, Naomi Crow of Plymouth; brothers: Gene Pletcher and Russell Pletcher, both of South Bend and Willard Pletcher of Argos. Visitation was held Wednesday from 3 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Coulter's Chapel Church of God, Niles, Mich. Funeral services were Thursday, Jan. 18 at 1 p.m. at the church. Burial was at Silverbrook Cemetery, Niles, Mich., where military rites were provided by the American Legion Post #sl. Memorials may be made to Children's International Lifeline, 16106 Brookwood Dr., Buchanan, MI 49107 or to Hospice at Home. Halbritter Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Lucille J. Graham Jan. 16,2007 WARSAW Lucille J. Graham, 85, of Warsaw, formerly of Bourbon, died at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 16 at Miller's Merry Manor. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Visitation is Saturday, Jan. 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee. Funeral services are Saturday, Jan. 27 at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Hepton Union Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Nappanee Elder Haus or Hepton Union Church. Spencer Shaw Jan. 17,2007 NAPPANEE Spencer Shaw of Nappanee died on Wednesday, Jan. 17 at 7 p.m. at his residence. He is survived by his father: Clinton Shaw of Nappanee; sister Sharon Nunemaker of Nappanee; brother Russ (Jenny) Shaw of Nappanee. Visitation was Sunday, Jan. 21 from 2 to 7 p.m. at ThompsonLengacher & Yoder Funeral Home and one hour prior to services. Services took place on Monday, Jan. 22 at 11 a.m. at Nappanee Church of the Brethren. Memorials may be made to Nappanee Church of the Brethren.

the Nappanee Smokey Stover volunteer fire department, a member of the Nappanee Park Board and president of the Wa-Nee school board. City clerk-treasurer Kimberly Ingle will also run for her seventh consecutive term. "I still love it," said Ingle. "I loved it when I came in as a deputy and I still love it. There's something new all the time." Ingle's responsibilities have included supervising the deputy clerk-treasurers, water/wastewater clerks and the city court clerk. "It has been my pleasure to serve the citizens of Nappanee for more than two decades," she said. "Nappanee continues to grow and prosper and I am honored to be a small part of that." Ingle is a 1968 graduate of Nappanee High School. She is married to David L. Ingle. The couple has two sons and a daughter, eight grandchildren with one on the way and three great-grandchildren with one on the way. Nappanee. city court judge Timi Sloat will also be running for the first time. Sloat was appointed to the position on Sept. 1 following the retirement of Judge David Widmoyer. "I think (my biggest challenge is) just trying to implement new programs and to create increased efficiency in the court," she said. Sloat looks forward to a second term. "I've truly enjoyed my time as Nappanee city court judge," she said. Donald Miller has filed for a second term as council member-at-large. Miller has been active in the city of Nappanee for a number of years, having served for 32 years with the Nappanee Police Department and retiring as captain. He also served as public relations officer, helping to establish a number of . community programs,

including the spring bike rodeo and the town-wide Halloween party. Miller is a 1958 graduate of Nappanee High School and a lifetime Nappanee resident. His wife is Patricia. They have three children and six grandchildren. Tom Lehman announced that he will not run for reelection. "It's been a great experience and most things have been good," he said. "But I think it's time for me to move on." Though retired, Lehman will continue to serve the city through various committees. Running for the first time will be Todd Nunemaker, who hopes to fill Lehman's position. "I'm looking forward to some of the great things that can happen," said Nunemaker. Nunemaker currently serves as chairperson of the Board of Zoning Appeals, as well as a member of Nappaflee's Plan Commission. Nunemaker is married and has two children. Jeffrey Kitson will be seeking a position as city council person for District 4. He is a first-time candidate for this position, though he has been active in the community through Kiwanis, Friends of the Little Paws Playground and volunteering for the annual Apple Festival. "(I am running) to continue to preserve our way of life in a city that welcomes families who enjoy our businesses, parks, and churches and neighborhoods, to help oversee the continued growth of Nappanee and the surrounding Wa-Nee area and to be proactive in planning for the future," said Kitson. Kitson is married to Brandi and has two children. He is a graduate of Fairfield High School and attended Ball State University.
