Chartered in 1921, the Noon Kiwanis Club is part of a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time. Any adult is welcome to join. The club meets every Tuesday at noon at the Dal Mar Catering Hall. 159 East Lincoln Street. ketball game the evening of the clinic, Saturday Feb. 3 from 9 a.m. tol2:30 p.m. at North Wood High School. The cost will be 525 for the first child and S2O for the second child in the same family. Participants will receive a T-shirt at the clinic to be worn at the evening performance. Girls participating in the halftime performance (indicated by wearing their T-shirt) will be admitted to the game free. Parents and siblings will be required to pay admission. A detailed letter with the arrival and pickup times will be given the day of the clinic. Mail registration form along with payment by Jan. 24 to Pam Slagle, North Wood High School, 2101 N. Main, Nappanee. Late registrations are not guaranteed a T-shirt. Halftime performance is not mandatory.

Lilian Rae Gaddis Jared and Shannon Gaddis of Anderson announce the birth of a daughter'on Nov. 28, 2006 at Anderson Community Hospital. Lillian Rae weighed 6 pounds, 15 ounces and was 19 inches long. She was welcomed home by a sister, Mallory Eliza, age 3. Grandparents are Jerry and Jennifer Gaddis of Bremen.

Elissa Ryan Horner Seward ana Jennifer Horner of Wakarusa, announce the birth of a daughter, Elissa Ryan Homer, on Dec. 30, 2006. She was born at 6:47 a.m. at Elkhart General Hospital afid weighed five pounds, eight ounces, and was 19 inches long. She was welcomed home by sibling Chase, age 4 1/2. Maternal grandparents are Tom and Joyce Hartman of Wakarusa. Paternal grandparents are Seward and Karen Horner of Garnet, Kan. Rotary news . The Rotary Club of Nappanee is searching for candidates to attend its 21st annual District 6540 Rotary Youth Leadership Award Camp at Camp Tecumseh YMCA Outdoor Center, Brookston The camp will take place from April 20 through 22. This program has been approved by the Division of Student Activities, Indiana Secondary School Administrations. Terr)' Elphick, local committee chair, said that participants will be selected from students in their sophomore or junior years in high school who have exhibited leadership abilities in school, church, extracurricular or community activities. The Rotary Club in now contacting churches, high school principals, guidance- counselors, youth organizations and other sources for nominations. Aimed at developing the leadership potential of young people, the camp will feature many challenging activities including workshops, speakers, discussions, sports, music and fun. Topics will focus on decision making, critical thinking, communicating effectively, public service, contemporary problems and career development. The participants will live, work, study and play together in a democratic seting under the guidance of professional counselors and educators.
