Ruben Rivera Fuentes September 26,2006 GOSHEN Ruben Rivera Fuentes, 75, Goshen, died on Tuesday, Sept. 26 at 1:33 a'm. at Goshen General Hospital. He is survived by four daughters: Joyce (Jim) Scott of Elkhart, Lynett Toni Fizer of Nappanee, Amber Fuentes of San Antonio, Texas and Angie (J.D.) Rhodes of Goshen; two brothers: Angel (Amelia) Rivera of Puerto Rico and Neri Rivera of Puerto Rico; two sisters: Aida (Raymond) Torrez of Puerto Rico and Migdalia (Manuel) Arroyo of Puerto Rico and nine grandchildren. Visitation took place on Saturday, Sept. 30 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home in Goshen. Services took place on Saturday, Sept. 30 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial was in Violett Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Betty Lou Buss .September 27,2006 FORT WAYNE Betty Lou Buss, 78, of Nappanee died on Wednesday, Sept. 27 at 12:20 p.m. at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. She is survived by three daughters: LuAnn Buss of Rochester, Karen (John) Buss of Albion and Kelly (Mike) Guernsey of Fulton New York; one son: Brian (Tana) Buss of Elkhart; 10 grandchildren; a brother: Jack (Gail) Nelson of Elkhart and four sisters: Jean (Glen) Douglas of Fredricksburg, Virginia, Marilyn Mann of Elkhart, Grace "Peg" (Larry) Shaum of Edwardsburg, Mich. In order to get the word out, Minnich's team sponsored a poster contest, calling upon the North Wood High School art class to design eyecatching and informative posters that would capture the interest of their fellow students and hopefully raise interest in the service project. Ashton Bell. Dunn's design, which consisted of a black background and clip art animations, took first place, earning her $25. Bell took second for a total of sls. KERN Jeffrey and Brenda Kem will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary on Oct. 9. In a culture much different than today, a young man in a muscle car swept a young Howard's waitress off of her feet. These young hearts soon pledged their love and commitment for a lifetime. In a tiny Syracuse log cabin, they became the parents of two boys, Kevin and Shaun.
Nappanee soon became Syracuse. Jeffrey and Brenda home, but today they reside enjoy their grandchildren, on the Kem Farm back in travel and hanging out together.

Bechtel is involved in soccer, basketball, softball anc track and is also a member of the Living Gospel youth group. Steiner is a two-sport athlete (volleyball and track), is vice president of the senior class and is a member of the National Honor Society. King candidates included senior Tyler Slagle, son of Rob and Pam Slagle, who is captain of the soccer team and active in FCS and the Living Gospel youth group and Trey Andrews, son of Troy Andrews and Tonya Rohr. Participants learn the basics of good community leadership and are challenged to apply their new skills.
