Nappanee shows off its artistic side
Staff Report It was an art extravaganza at Spring Into Art, the Nappanee Public Library Fine Art Exhibit and Sale, on April 21 to 23 at the Main Street Suites Building and the Boys & Girls Club of Nappanee. The three-day event began with a private reception Friday evening for purchase award sponsors and the over 50 artists who exhibited this year. The gym of the Boys & Girls Club served as a hub of activity with music provided by Jeff Roberts and Friends, hors d'oeuvres by Amish Acres, a fantastic chocolate fondue fountain by Chocolate Elegance, and an Espresso Bar by Main Street

Coffee House. Special events were held throughout the weekend for children and adults including storytelling and cartooning demonstrations, floral and garden design ideas, and the North Wood Jazz Band. A variety of inspirational workshops for artists of all ages were also available, which included pottery painting, sculpting, beading and more. The event was presented through a partnership of the Friends of the Nappanee Public Library, Psi lota Xi and Tri Kappa Sororities, and Thursday Club with the goal of bringing together those interested in art, the library, and supporting the community in general.
