Loucks Jim and Sandra Loucks will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on June 10. Jim Loucks and Sandra Henschen were married June 10,1956 at First Christian Church (now Bible Baptist Church) in Wakarusa by Rev. Maynard Kulp. They have three children: Randy (Susan) Loucks of Charlotte, N.C.; Tom (Karen) Loucks of Nappanee and Diane (Phil) Jenkins of Nappanee. They also have seven grandchildren. Jim is retired from Henschen Oil, Inc., and Sandra works for Loucks & Weaver CPA. The family will be celebrating by taking trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico at the end of June. Wedding

Brown Melissa Caldas and Robert Brown were united in marriage on Jan. 7 at 6 p.m. at the Ist Methodist Church in Maringa. Pastor Marcos Caldas performed the double ring ceremony. • The bride and groom exchanged vows in each other's language, and enjoyed the diversity of bringing two cultures together. The bride's witnesses were Carolina and Melanie Caldas, sisters of the bride. C The groom's witnesses were Tamra and Eric Craig, sister and > brother-in-law of the groom. • Approximately 200 people attended the reception held at Villa Antonio in Brazil. Approximately 250 people attended a reception !• held in March at Amish Acres. The couple now resides in Washington, D.C. [- The bride's parents are Marcos and Marcia Caldas of Campinas, Brazil. ; The bride attended Santa Cruz High School, and attended Bethel ;! College in Mishawaka. She is currently employed as an emergency 'room nurse at the Georgetown University Hospital. The groom's parents are Dean and Diane Brown of Wakarusa. The groom attended North Wood High School. He then graduat- . ed from Purdue University before graduating from the Indiana i-University Law School. He is currently employed as an attorney at Arnold and Porter in Washington, D.C.
