Gary J. Tam April 11, 2006 NAPPANEE Gary }. Tam, 52, of Nappanee, died at 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 11 at his residence. He is survived by his wife, Delores Tam; brothers, Kurtis (Terry) Tam of Mishawaka, David (Linda) Tam of Enterprize, Fla. and Marcus (Cathy) Tam of Lakeville; and sisters, Janet (Don) Smith of Cassville, Jeanie (Carl) Snyder of Mishawaka and Colleene (John) Minder of Buchanon, Mo. Visitation was held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 13 at the Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee. Services were conducted at the funeral home on Friday, April 14 at 2 p.m. Burial was in the Union Center Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Riley Children's Hospital. Miller, both very excellent and popular young people were married at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Feese last Wednesday night with 140 guests present. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Hanson C. Smith of the M.E. Church. Refreshments were catered from Lima, Ohio. The young people are "society people". Mr. Miller is a member of the firm of Nappanee Lumber & Manufacturing Company. 75 Years Ago April 16,1931 Rev. Lifesavers for Donations The annual Be A Life Saver Campaign will continue this weekend, when volunteers throughout all of Elkhart County will be out collecting donations and distributing Lifesavers candy. In Nappanee, 41 volunteers will be located at Chiphone Credit Union, North Wood High School, Keyßank, Alco, Rite Choice, Chase Bank and at the intersection of Main and Market Streets. Volunteers will be at these locations from 9 a.m. to 7

p.m on Friday, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. The campaign is the major public fundraiser for CAPS (Child And Parent Services), a locally-based non-profit organization whose mission is to prevent child abuse, value children and build strong families in Elkhart County. Mike Stull, Nancy Denlinger and Penny Huffer are the co-chairs of the Nappanee Life Saver Campaign.

Visitation was held from 2 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 18, at the Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen, and one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday. Services were held on Wednesday, April 19, at 10:30 a.m. at the Zion United Church of Christ, 12298 New Rd., Wakarusa, with the Rev. Dale Speckman officiating.
