Nathan Edwards Jones, Ph.D. December 2, 2005 DES MOINES Nathan Edwards Jones, Ph.D., 79, of lowa, died on Friday, Dec. 2,2005 at the lowa Jewish Senior Life Center in Des Moines, lowa. He is survived by his four children, Gregory Edwards Jones of Sioux City, lowa, Jeffrey David Jones of Rosenberg, Texas; Laura Carol Jones of Des Moines and Lisa Mary Jones of Des Moines; and six grandchildren. Services were held on Friday, Dec. 9 at St. Paul's Episcopal Cathedral in Des Moines Memorial contributions may be made to the Drake University Music Department. Phyllis Jean Cray January 9, 2006 WAKARUSA Phyllis Jean Croy, 78, of Wakarusa, died at 4:50 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 9 at Elkhart General Hospital.

She is survived by her husband, Merle Croy of Wakarusa; four sons, Garry (Mary) Croy of Goshen, Randy (Bonnie) Croy of Nappanee, Lynn Croy of Nappanee and Roger (Kim) Croy of Nappanee; seven grandsons; one granddaughter; 13 great-grand-children; brother, Virgil Stump Jr. of Nappanee; sister, Frances (Arnold) Dahlmann of Marco Island, Fla. Visitation was held from 2 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 12 and one hour prior to the 10:30 a.m. services on Friday, Jan. 13 at the Union Center Church of the Brethren. Pastor Ruth Yoder, Union Center Church of the Brethren, officiated, assisted by Pastor Larry Fourman, Union Center Church of the Brethren. Burial was in the Union Center Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wakarusa Public Library. Stephen P. Davis January 11, 2006 SYRACUSE Stephen P. Davis, 52, of Syracuse, died at 1:20 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 11 following a battle with brain cancer. He is survived by his wife, Shireen of Syracuse; two daughters, Stephenie (Forrest) Boesenberg of Leesburg and Shaundra Davis of Syracuse; mother, Lois Davis of North Manchester; sister, Mary (Ned) Rogers of Batesville; two brothers, Tim Davis of Syracuse and Mike (Tammy) Davis of Lawrenceburg. Visitation was held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 13 at the Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home in Syracuse. Services were conducted on Saturday, Jan. 14, at 11 a.m. at the Calvary United Methodist Church in Syracuse. Rev. David Herr, Rev. John Modesett and Pastor Terry Bucholtz conducted the services. Burial was in the Syracuse Cemetery In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the humane society or to the American Cancer Society.
