Before going on out his city route, Berger was given an 35vear pin and a certificate from Postmaster Brian DeCraene. Berger joined the post office in 1970, six months after he got out of the service. "I just enjoyed it," Berger said about the time he's spent as a mail carrier. "1 like to get out and meet the people and serving everyone out there." On Berger's 35 years of service, DeCraene put it into perspective. "Considering I'm only 35 years old, this is pretty impressive," the postmaster said. "This is the first one I've given out." When asked if he saw the award coming, Berger was oblivious. "I didn't realize it," he said about his 35 years. ADVANCE NEWS PHOTO/ .ANTHONY GADSON Nostalgia
