Thanksgiving in Wa-Nee

Thanksgiving took on a special meaning.this year at Woodview Elementary. Third graders in Mrs. Hemminger's class invited their kindergarten reading buddies in Mrs. Walter's class to a special breakfast feast on Wed. Nov. 24. They came dressed as Pilgrims while Mrs. Hemminger's students represented the Indians. The menu included fried mush with syrup - a new food to some. The third graders especially got into the feasting mood. Two children ate 10 pieces of mush! One child ate seven bananas! Mrs. Hemminger's class and Mrs. Walter's class are enjoying their partnerships each Friday. Activities include reading together, playing learning games, and tutoring in science. This
