Students reveal what makes them thankful

Nappanee Elementary Third Grade Students I like Thanksgiving very much. It is very fun. I like the turkey and I think of God when I pray. I love to give people love like my mom, dad, grandma, grandpa, brothers, sisters. They like to giv me love, too. I like Thanksgiving, it is very fun. when I eat, I like a big bun. I like my grandma's house, and my mom's mouse, and my grandma’s mouse, and my mom's house. Love, Mathew Middlebom I am thankful for my family and my cousins, and my grandpa and grandma, because they are so sweet. Another thing I'm thankful is that my birthday is the day before Thanksgiving Day. On Thanksgiving Day my cousins, grandma and grandpa, aunts, uncles, come to my house for a thankful Thanksgiving Day. I'm also thankful for my friends, because I like to play with them and I like to sing with them. I am thankful for my class and my teachers and my principal Mrs. Tobas. I like my school and all the people who come to my school. I'm thankful for my dogs, cats, horses, ponys and my two little bull calfs. And the last thing I'm thankful is for the Thanksgiving Day!! P.S. I am in 3rd grade in Nappanee Elementary School Love, Gloria I am thankful for my family because they are very, very, very nice to me and they love me. I am thankful for the Lord and his son because they are the best people injhe whole world. And I am thankful for the Bible because it teaches us a lot, lot, lot, about things and people! Melissa Kay Miller I am thankful for my family. I am thankful for my family because when I'm sick they care for me, and they help me with other important things. I'm more thankful for my Mom because when I had nemonea she took me to 4 hospitals for a week. I love my Mom and Dad because they love me and I love them. I also love my brother and sisters because they also love me because I'm the littlest kid in the family. They can be mean sometimes, but I still love them and they love me. I am thankful for my family on Thanksgiving because my Mom cooks a good turkey and a good dinner and then we talk and joke. Adam Mullins I am thankful for everyone in my family because everyone in my family gathers up on Thanksgiving and that's what Thanksgiving is for. The other reason why I'm thankful is because all the food God made for us on Thanksgiving and other times. The last reason why I'm thankful for Thanksgiving is because it's a time where you get to spend time with your family and friends. Anna Logan I am thankful for my Mom and my Dad because they are nice to me and I love them and they love me. My Mom and my Dad are special to me. On Thanksgiving my family and I go to one of the relative's house. We eat and play games. When we go to Haly's house, my cousin, we race with the four wheelers. Sometimes I get to stay the night. Katelyn Lanfledt I am thankful for everything. Thanksgiving is close to my birthday. I love my family. I think Thanksgiving is a special day for my family. house and my food are very important, too. I am thankful that I don't have to lay on the streets and beg for food. I'm thankful for teachers and my president and people that help me. Joseph Schmucker I'm thankful for Thanksgiving because I go to my Grandma's house because it's her birthday and we celebrate Thanksgiving. Sometimes we get to roast marshmallows in the woods by the fire pit. Blake Mason I am thankful for my family the most because my Mom always helps me when 1 have a problem. My Dad, he's the coolest. He is always there for me. My grandma and grandpa they always spoil me a lot. And my Aunt Debbie always lets me make myself at home. And of course, my little baby cousin always has a smile on his face. My uncle Jason lets me watch him fly his remote control airplane. And I am thankful for my little sister Alison. She is always there when I am bored. If I didn't have any toys it wouldn't mind me. At least I have my family. Samantha Brown I am thankful for Thanksgiving because I get to see most of my cousins and also most of my aunts and uncles. On Thanksgiving, my family and I like to give people food. I also like to give people love like my family and my grandpa and grandma. I also just like to celebrate and eat and have fun because that is really, really fun. And it also is fun to play freeze tag, or monkey tag, or just plain tag with my cousins. And even the little kids want to play so we let them (But we have to help them-Bummer!) But, sometimes I'm too tired to play so we just sit around the house and them some of them get angry so I play a little bit more. Emily Miller Thanksgiving is really fun because when the turkey is cooking, my cousin, Jordan and I play video games. We play football. We have at least 15 people at my grandma's house in Ligonier. It's fun, too. My grandpa brings in two tables, one is five feet long. And then we eat turkey, mashed potatoes, and gravy and eggs and rice. My Mom brings food too. We drive 30 minutes to get to her house. We play outside when we get there. We play football in the side yard. I'm thankful for my family for cooking me food and driving me places like to my friends house. We eat a lot of food on Thanksgiving day. My dad coaches a softball game. We all go and watch all the games that he coaches. I go in the dugout with him. My mom runs the concession stand, my sisters and I can talk on the cellphone. It's my uncle's birthday on Thanksgiving. I would give up anything to keep them, but, I'm thankful for school and my friends like Tanner, Mike, Raph, Blake, Adam, Nikolas, Gerald, and Joush. And other friends of mine. One of the other important things is the Bible; 1 think the Bible is important because it tells you true stories of Jesus and other people long ago. 1 think Jesus is very important. Carleen Chupp I'm thankful for my life because once my Mom went to a movie and one of her friends showed up after the movie and asked her if she wanted a ride home, but my aunt said if I have to walk home, she does too. I'm very thankful my Mom didn't get a bike ride home because her friend got hit bv a semi head on and died two days later. So, it's a great thing my Mom didn't do that or I wouldn't be here right now writing about it. That's why I'm thankful for my life and my Mom. I bet my grandma and grandpa are thankful, too. Like I said, I'm very thankful for my life. I love living on the earth and being able to come to school and learn about different things.
