Annelie Welch Nee Grosshans , September 2, 2004 NAPPANEE Annelie Welch Nee Grosshans, 80, of 1209 E. Marion St., Nappanee. passed away on Sept. 2 at Goshen General Hospital from natural causes. Annelie was a resident of Nappanee since 1969. She is survived by her husband. Fay J. Welch of Nappanee; a son. William (Teresa) Welch of Bloomington. Ind.; and a sister, Gertrude Hahn of Germany. No services were held. Robert Dean Johnson August 31.2004 ELKHART Robert Dean Johnson. 54, of 333 W. Mishawaka Rd.. Elkhart, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 31 at the Valley View Health Care Center following an extended illness. Robert was a lifelong Goshen-Syracuse area resident. He is survived by a son. Travis P. Johnson of Middlebury; a daughter, Heather Mishler of Warsaw; a step son, Peter Kime; a step daughter, Renea York; his mother, Effie Johnson of Syracuse; two brothers. Charles Keith Johnson of Bartell, Tenn. and Bill Lee Johnson of Cramwell; sister, Mary Jane Johnson of Ft. Myers, Fla.; and half brother, Lester Barnard of Gary. Visitation was held at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home on Friday. Sept. 3 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Funeral services were held at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home on Friday at 7:30 p.m. Cremation followed the services. Robert Dean Keiser August 31,2004 NAPPANEE Robert Dean Johnson, 66, of 504 Ivy Ct„ Nappanee. passed away on Sunday. Aug. 22 at Elkhart General Hospital following a brief illness. He is survived by a wife; a daughter, Kimberly Kiser of Nappanee; his parents, Puerto Rico; and two sisters, Norma Cortes and Elaine Keiser both of Puerto Rico. A memorial was held on Sunday. Lambert. 78. of 411 Sunset Blvd., Goshen, passed away on Monday, Aug. 30 at Lakeland Loving Care, Milford. Louis lived in Goshen all of his live,.except for time in the service. He is survived by two daughters. Sharon Holderman of Goshen, and Cindy (Joe) Anderson of Syracuse; two sons, Dennis (Elaine) C. Lambert. Nappanee. and Bradley (Jane) Lambert, Greenwood; nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandsons. Visitation was held at the Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen, on Thursday. September 2, from 3 to 7 p.m. A graveside was held following cremation at Oakridge Cemetery, Goshen. Vernon A. Miller August 29,2004 MILLERSBURG Vernon A. Miller, 66, of 11912 C.R. 38, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 29 at Goshen General Hospital of .natural causes. Vernon is survived by two brothers. Emanuel (Esther) Miller, Halfway, Mo., and Chester (Treva) Miller, Goshen. Visitation was held Monday, Aug. 30 after 4 p.m. and all day on Aug. 31, at the home of his nephew, Galen Miller. Millersburg. Funeral services were held at the same residence on Wednesday, Sept. 1. Burial followed at Nisley Cemetery in Goshen. Lenore Eloise (Doering) Pletcher August 27, 2004 NAPPANEE Lenore Eloise (Doering) Pletcher. 89. of 1400 McCormick Drive, passed away on Friday, Aug. 27 while at Miller’s Merry Manor Sunshine Pod, Wakarusa. She was a 1933 Wakarusa High School graduate, and married LaVem F. Pletcher on Aug. 18, 1935 at the Wakarusa Methodist Church. Alon|! with her husband and father-in-law Clayton, she helped start Pletcher Furniture in Nappanee. Lenore was a member of the Nappanee United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband: a son, Richard LaVem (Susie) Pletcher, Nappanee; a daughter, Jacqueline Lee Pletcher. Washington, D.C.; two granddaughters; and five great-grandchildren. Visitation was held at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 29, and one hour prior to the funeral service. The funeral service was held on Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Nappanee United Methodist Church. Burial followed at Olive Cemetery. *

Van Buren St., passed away on Saturday, Aug. 28 at Goshen General Hospital following an extended illness. Elizabeth was a lifelong area resident. She is survived by three adopted daughters, Rosa Marie Schmucker, Honduras, Melba Ramos (Juan) Sandoval and Regina Ann Schmucker Yoder, both of Nappanee; two adopted sons, Guillermo (Lydia) Ramos, Bourbon, and Orlando (Sharon) Schmucker. New Paris; 13 grandchildren; five brothers, Earl (Mary) Schmucker, Nappanee, Mahlon (Martha) Schmucker, Ivan (Sadie) Schmucker and Owen (Norma) Schmucker, all of Bremen, and Vernon (Katie) Schmucker, Honduras; two sisters, Ruby (Lester) Byler, and Erma Schmucker, both of Nappanee. Visitation was held Monday, Aug. 30 at Berea Christian Fellowship Church from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Aug. 31 at Maple Lawn Amish Mennonite church at 10 a.m. Burial followed at Berea Christian Fellowship Church Cemetery. Larry W. Fisher September 3,2004 ROCHESTER Larry W. Fisher, 65, of 6586 N. State Road 25 of Rochester, passed away on Friday, Sept. 3 at his home. He is survived by two daughters, Rose Ann Shull of Rochester and Joyce Shepherd of Warsaw; three sons, Larry Fisher of Red Rock, Texas, Robert Fisher of Rochester, and Mark Fisher of Rochester: 17 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Visitation was held Tuesday, Sept. 7 at Zimmerman Brothers Funeral Home in Rochester from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Sept. 8 at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Burial followed at the Mount Zion Cemetery.

Michelle Taylor of Nappanee and Dave Rains of Nappanee were united in marriage on May 8, 2004 at McCormick Creek Golf Course (inside the bam). Pastor JoAnn Kunz of Hosanna Christian Fellowship, Lititz, Pennsylvania., officiated the ceremony. The maid of honor was Jamie Newcomer of Nappanee, friend of bride.
