DEATH Buford Stapleton July 9, 2004 NAPPANEE Buford Stapleton, 83, of 202 S. Nappanee St„ Nappanee, passed away on Friday, July 9 at Elkhart General Hospital following a long illness. He had lived in Nappanee since 1962. Survivors include daughters Janet Sue Williams of Michigan, Diana Gail Wright of Nappanee, Glenna Cheryl Swearingen of Syracuse and Gladie Arietta (Judy) Miller of Syracuse; sons Tommy Franklin (Judy) Stapleton of Foreacre and John Eddie Stapleton of Syracuse; 22 grandchildren. 36 greatgrandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren; brothers Earl (Ilene) Brown of Nappanee, Bob (Nedie) Brown of Nappanee and Dick (Marie) Brown of Beaver. Ohio; sisters Gladie Stapleton of Warsaw, Pebble (Bud) Troyer of New Paris and Pauline (Harold) Metzger of Eustice, Fla. Funeral services were held at the Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 13 at 10 a.m. Burial followed at Lakeview Cemetery in Silver Lake.

Yoders welcome home a boy WAKARUSA— Jeff and Jill Yoder of Wakarusa announce the birth of their son, Alexander Jackson Yoder, bom on June 24, 2004. Alexander weighed 7 pounds, 4 ounces and was 19-and-a-half inches long. He joins big brothers Dominic, Connor, Brennan and Zachary at home. Maternal grandparents are Stan and Card Metzler of Wakarusa. Paternal grandparents are Dennis and Shirley Yoder of Wakarusa.
