WRESTLING The wrestlers defeated Plymouth in NLC action 55-12 to bring their record to 2-3 (1-1 NLC). Winners for the Panthers were 103 lbs Cameron Hartman, 112-Steven Mayfield, 119Sam Montgomery, 130-Derek Burnett (pin), 135Adam Jenkins (pin), 140-Dillon Whitacre (pin), 152-Jason Hochstetler, 160-Chad Davis, 171Austin Mattem, 189-David Mishler, and 215Randy Mitschelen (pin). Next, Denny Lewis crew finished second at the Penn Invitational win a record of 4-1. Winners for North Wood were Chad Davis at 160 lbs. Davis went 5-0 with 5 pins for the second straight year! At 171 lbs, Austin Mattem was also 5-0. And finally, the wrestlers finished 10th out of 32 teams at the Connersville Spartan Classic. Austin Mattem at 171 lbs finished third, while Dillon Whitacre-140, Randy Mitschelen-215, and Sam Montgomery-119 all finished fourth. AJ Rhymer-125 and Chad Davis-160 earned seventhplace finishes.

SWIMMING Girls The girls were defeated by Mishawaka 92-88. First place winners for the Panthers were: 200 medley relay team Sheri Garcia, Amy Byrket, Jessica Farmwald, and Asha Holsopple. 200 freestyle Asha Holsopple; 200 individual medley-Amy Byrket; 50 freestyle-Sheri Garcia; 100 butterfly-Asha Holsopple; 100 freestyle-Sheri Garcia and the 200 freestyle relay team of McKayela Collins, Tiffany Lehman, Sheri Garcia, and Asha Holsopple. Boys The boys swim team was also defeated by Mishawaka 129-40. Brent Hollar took first in the 1 meter diving while Josh Chupp had two seconds in the 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle. Kyle Hochstetler finished second in the 100 backstroke. GIRLS BASKETBALL The girls freshman team defeated SB St. Josephs 16-9 to raise their record to 5-2. Leading scorers were Calley Tucker with 8 and Casey Bough with 5. The girls were then defeated by Plymouth 31-23. Bethany Ramer totaled 8 points

to lead the Panthers. The varsity Black Swish were defeated by Plymouth in conference action 45-38. Leading the way for Panthers were Audrey Duncan with 11, Mandy Yoder with 10, and Lauren Zeltwanger added 8. The JV girls were also defeated by Plymouth 33-29. In NLC tourney action the Black Swish matched up against Plymouth again and were defeated by the Lady Pilgrims 44-36. Lauren Zeltwanger had 9 points and Mandy Yoder had 7. In the consolation game, North Wood defeated Northridge 55-44. Zeltwanger led the way with 18 points. Carrie Egging had 12, Jessica Focht and Audrey Duncan added 9 apiece. BOYS BASKETBALL The Freshman boys team defeated previously unbeaten John Glenn 41-34. Trey Andrews led the way with 13 points and J.J. Anglemyer had 9. The boys then lost to Plymouth 38-22. Brant Ehret had 7 points and Kent Schaffer 6. The boys are now 5t2 (1-2 NLC).
