WAKARUSA ELEMENTARY PRESENTS HOLIDAY MUSICAL DEC. 18 WAKARUSA Wakarusa Elementary will present “The Littlest Reindeer,” a Holiday musical on Dec. 18 at 7 p.m. in the NotthWood High School Auditorium. Our audience will find the stage set with Christmas at the North Pole and all of its citizens, played by our cast of fust and second graders, getting ready for Santa’s annual ‘round the world jaunt All of the usual characters are there: the toys, the elves, the reindeer, Santa, Mrs. Claus, and a new character who is the star and hero of the musical. It’s the Littlest Reindeer! And the Littlest Reindeer has been told that this is her chance to finally join the team and help Santa deliver toys all over the world. Everyone is skeptical that such a little critter could possibly be of much use on such a demanding and important adventure. Through the course of the musical, all are made aware that everybody has something to offer in the quest to make Christmas magic really come due. Everyone is reminded that each of us has a very special gift inside of us; the special gift we celebrate at this most wonderful time of year! We invite you to come and share in the Christmas Spirit with the 150 voice choir under the direction of Rebecca Coffin. Admission is free of charge. MICHAEL CARRILLO PRESENTS THE CAROLS OF CHRISTMAS DEC. 21 BREMEN You’re invited to “The Carols of Christmas” with David Michael Carrillo. Carrillo has become a welcome guest in numerous churches across America, interweaving beloved hymns, worship songs, and his own Bible-based songs, bridging the gap between age and denominations. His message of hope and healing comes from his personal relationship with the Lord. Growing up, he faced the challenges of having attention deficit hyper activity disorder, learning disabillites, and being rejected by his peers. Carrillo shares about the healing power of the gospel that delivered him from the the fear of people and low self esteem that developed as a teenager and young adult. In April of 1999, Carrillo was flown out of Littleton, Colo, to share his song, “Trust in You,” for the memorial service of Corey DePooter, who lost his life at Columbine High School. Now, with the release of his fifth CD, “Hymns for the Quiet Moments,” Carrillo continues to travel all over the country sharing the life changing and healing message of Jesus Christ to a hurting world. Carrillo will be performing Dec. 21 at Community Gospel Church at 6:30 p.m. The Community Gospel Church is located at 68893 S.R. 331 N. in Bremen.
