The bride-to-be is a flight attendant for Delta Connections and is a 1999 graduate of Perry High School. The groom-elect is a pilot for Delta Connections. He is a 1994 graduate of Triton High School and a 2000 graduate of Purdue University. The couple plan a Nov. 8 wedding.

Grimes celebrate 25th anniversary ELKHART Walter and Audrey (Schultz) Grimes of Elkhart will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary with an open house on Oct. 25, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Union Center Church of the Brethren. The couple was married Oct. 21, 1978 at Nappanee Church of the Brethren. Their children are Mike Geiger of New Paris, Dawn (Richard) Schlamersdorf of Edwardsburg, Mich., Jody Grimes of Elkhart, and Walter Grimes HI of Elkhart. They also have six grandchildren. Walter has been a truck driver for the past 30 years, and Audrey works at Superior Seating and Target, as an industrial sewer and in sales, respectively. The Grimes are involved in GWRRA (Chapter H), and the Christian Motorcycle Association.

Smith-Miller married

Jennifer Smith and Trent Miller were united in marriage at 5:30 p.m. July 12 at Community Gospel Church in Bremen. Pastor Dave McGee performed the double ring ceremony and music was provided by the Gaska String Quartet. The bride wore a sheetn-style chiffon-over-satin gown. The strapless gown was adorned with pearls and crystal beading, accented by a fingertip veil. The maid of honor was Jaclyn Smith, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Jalayne Smith and Staci Smith, both sisters of the bride. The flower girl was Catherine Darr of Bourbon, friend of the bride. The bride’s attendants wore sheetn-style bordeaux gowns with chiffon over satin. The best man was Scott James of Granger, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Shawn Hickey of Granger and Nick Spyker of Las Vegas, both friends of the groom. Ushers were Andy Kolzow of Sturgis, Mich, and Kirby Kitson of Mishawaka, both friends of the groom. The ring bearer was Parker James of Granger, friend of the groom. Approximately 325 people attended the reception held at Community Gospel Church in Bremen. Following a wedding trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, the couple now resides in South Bend. The bride’s parents are Devon and Kay Smith of Bremen. Jennifer is a 1999 graduate of Bremen High School and earned her degree from lUSB in 2003. She is a third grade teacher at Wakarusa Elementary School.
