Panthers take seventh at Connersville

CONNERSVILLE, Ind. The North Wood High School wrestling leant traveled to Connersville tocomivte in the 2002 Spartain Classic Dec. 27 and 28. The Panthers came away «ith a seventh place finish out of 32 teams. Brandon Gamer captured the 152 pound weight class, surpassing his 100 career wins. He has earned 102 \ ictories. Chad Davis earned the run-ner-up spot in the 160 pound weight division. Dillon Whitacre was third at 140, Austin Mattem placed fourth at 171, Randy Mitschelen placed sixth at 215 and David Mishler placed seventh in leh 189 weight class. The Panthers came away with a respectable 3-2 record against solid competition. Notre Dame's tough home record at the Joyce Center. The Irish are close to unbeatable at home and Duncan knows how special a win at Notre Dame would be. “Every team plays their best at home,” Duncan said. “Beating Notre Dame would be big for us.
