NWHS Girls' Basketball BLACK SWISH SUPS BY CHARGERS The North Wood High School black swish beat the Elkhart Memorial Chargers Thursday, Dec. 19 with a score of 56-54, leaving their record 6-4. Jessica Focht scored nine points for the team, making one free throw, a rebound, three assists and a foul. Carrie Egging gained 13 points to help lead the team along with two free throws, three rebounds, four assists and a foul. Sam Lewis had seven points for the team with five rebounds and a foul. Carlea Howard scored two points, had four rebounds, two fouls and six assists, while Nikki Frantz gained seven points, had two assists and was fouled three times. Lauren Zeltwanger had a total of five points, two rebounds, three assists and three fouls. Audrey Duncan also helped the team reach victory with a total of 13 points, including four free throws, 25 rebounds. 23 assists and 16 fouls. Aaron McDowell gained four points and four rebounds, while Eric Hartstein scored four points, seven rebounds and had four steals. Todd Anglemyer helped with three points and two assists. EIGHTH "B" BEATS CONCORD The eighth “B” team beat Concord Tuesday, Dec. 17,40-34, leaving their record at 7-2. Jay Sheets gained seven points and two steals, while Tommy Kurtz had four assists and three steals. Adam Mast scored four points, had six rebounds and two assists. Adam Swihart had one point and Darrick Hill made five points and two steals. Toby Mullet helped the team with 14 points and four rebounds and Brady Shively had nine points, four rebounds and two assists. EIGHTH "A" STOMPS BREMEN The eighth grade “A” team stomped Bremen Dec. 17, scoring 43-20. Justin Anglemeyer led the team with nine points, while Brant Ehret followed with eight points, three steals and four rebounds.
