RECYCLING BINS The recycling drop-off stations for Nappanee are located in the parking lot of Martin's Super Market (east end). In Wakarusa, a drop-off station is located on CR 103. The stations, which accept cardboard, newspaper, glass, plastic, aluminum and tin, are monitored by the Elkhart County Solid Waste Management. Annual Christmas concert set at Wakarusa Elementary
WAKARUSA Wakarusa Elementary School will present their annual Christmas concert on Thursday, Dec. 19 in the North Wood High School Auditorium at 7 p.m. This year’s concert, a holiday revue entitled. “Forever Christmas. A Holiday to Remember,'* will be presented by grades 4,5, 6 and Younger Generation, the school's show choir. The revue takes the audience through the memorable sights and sounds of the Christmas season. Each grade level will present familiar Christmas songs and carols, such as “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree." “A Holly Jolly Christmas," “Winter Wonderland." “Let It Snow,” "Santa Claus is Cornin’ to Town," and "Jingle Bell Rock” in the eight segments of the

Local communities offer hot lunches for seniors
NAPPANEE Senior members of the Nappanee and Wakarusa communities are invited to participate in the REAL Services hot lunch program by calling the Union Center Church of the Brethren at 773-4295 or the Town Cabin at 8624400, one day in advance, to make your reservations. Meals are served at 11:45 a.m. The Wakarusa site also schedules bingo on the first and third Mondays, following lunch, and a representative from the Wakarusa Medical Clinic comes to take blood pressures, free, on the second Tuesday of the month, at 11:45 a.m. Menus are subject to change without notice. Due to the diets of some persons, the food is not highly seasoned. Meals are served Monday through Friday, to all eligible seniors (60 years of age or older). A voluntary donation of $2.50 per meal is requested (actual cost of each meal is $6). REAL Services provides approximately 950 meals per day at 45 area nutrition sites. The program is funded with the Older Americans Act, Older Hoosier Act, voluntary
