Wakarusa community welcomes in season

The community of Wakarusa will celebrate the holiday season with number of Christmas activities on Tuesday, December 11, including the historical society’s dhnual Christmas House Tour, vlhich runs from 6-9p.m. xi •, Featured homes on the tour include the Dale Nora Welty home, 307 W. Harrison §(.; Gregory Walter home, 404 \y, Harrison St.; Wayne and Jane Sawyer home, 300 W. Waterford St.; Randall and Andrea Whitehead home, 403 W. Waterford St. and Miller’s Senior Living Community. bi Photos with Santa will be available at Creative Touch Bhotography from 3:30st3op.m. and a downtown open house around the Christmas tree, complete with caroling (song books will be provided), will take place from 5t30-7:30p.m. At that time, visitors may also take a carriage ride of the community, and enjoy hot chocolate and Gookies. Santa letters will be on display, and you will also be given the opportunity to help trim the tree in the town hall. v A live nativity, presented by tfte Holdeman Mennonite Church, will be featured in the Farmer’s Market Square from 5-7:30p.m. With the exception of the louse tour, events are being sponsored by the Wakarusa Chamber of Commerce.
