DRIVING WHILE LICENSE SUSPENDED On September 22, Nappanee Police arrested Steven A. Chandler, 26, Akron, Indiana, for driving while license suspended. At approximately 1:02a.m., Officer Nik Havert stopped a white Mazda 626 driving southbound on South Main St. for a muffler violation. Upon running a driver’s license check Mr. Chandler, it was learned that his driver’s license was suspended with prior conviction for driving while suspended. Mr. Chandler’s driving record showed numerous failures to appear for court dates, so he was taken into custody for driving while suspended. His vehicle was impounded and he was transported to the Elkhart Cognty Detention Facility by Officer Matt. Geiger. He is being held there on 9 $1,500 bond. OPERATING VEHICLE WHILE

INTOXICATED Nappanee Police arrested Kevin Arnold, 31, Milford for operating vehicle while intoxicated. On September 24, at 1:21a.m., Sgt. Terry Chanley observed a white Chevy Blazer make a right hand turn eastbound onto US 6 from northbound SR 19 while the light was red and right hand turns on red are prohibited. Sgt.
