Newcomer Stephanie Garza, a recent Julliard School of Music graduate, brings her well-trained voice and stage presence to the pivotal role of Aldonza. Jerry O’Boyle is directing the show. the play. Jennifer Weaver provides costumes that include the rusted armor Don Quixote buckles on to protect him during his quest. Fight specialist Ned Mochel has carefully choreographed the famous, often funny, sometimes frightening, fight scenes. Dance choreography comes from Scott Saegesser. David Castaneda returns as lighting designer and Tim Bennett provides sound design to this often-boister-ous play. Several props have been acquired from the Stratford Shakespeare Festival’s 1999 production of the show. “We are so excited to be bringing Man of LaMancha to the Joseph Stein Stage,” said Richard
Pletcher, producer. “The pageantry and music are unparalleled by any show that we have produced to date. ‘The Impossible Dream,’ the show’s signature song, never overshadows ‘Dulcinea,’ ‘Little Bird, Little Bird,’ and ‘I Really Like Him.’ Having Dirk, Stephanie plus Jeremy and Jerry Sharing the same stage will raise our musical theatre magic yet another notch.” Theme buffets are served in the Amish Acres Bam Loft Grill each Friday night of the show’s run.
