The number of years that old Dick hunted mice in the various stores of town is unknown in cat history..but “we all grow old in tlme”..so did Dick. ‘ He refused to longer pick up the good things from the butcher’s block or purr at the stroke of friendly school children.. Old Dick may have had 9 lives, but he never lived but 1 in Nappancc. „ The onion crop south of town will fall short on acreage this season..there are several reasons for this. "NAPPANEE. “ THE TOWN AHEAD’’. 500 of these signs have been purchased and are being placed on all the highways leading to Nappanee. Nappancc citizens have been troubled considerably of late by having money stolen from their milk bottles. Tucs. night two boys, ages 15. and 17, were caught redhanded in the act and locked up by Night Officer Irvin Best.
