Arrested for OWI

8 Nappanee Police arrested Gary X Freeze, 47, 801 N. prior to driving. After several field sobriety tests were given, Mr. Freeze was transported to the Nappanee Police Department where a chemical test was given. The result showed Mr. Freeze to be at .18%. He was therefore arrested for operating while intoxicated, a class D felony due to a prior conviction for OWI within five years. Mr. Freeze was transported to the Elkhart County Security Center where he is being held on $4,500 bond pending a probable cause hearing.
