Robber remains unidentified
Nappanee Police Captain Mike Anglin gave city council members the brief details on the Quick Clean Laundromat burglary, during the November 16 meeting. “At approximately 7:50a.m. this morning (November 16), a woman working at Quick Clean, on the west side of town, went behind the building and was confronted by a masked man,” said Anglin. The suspect wore a ski mask and carried a knife. He forced the female attendant to open a coin dispenser and proceeded to take the money before fleeing. “We arrived pretty quickly on the scene,” said Anglin. “The woman was not hurt or touched or anything. He only threatened her. We are very lucky.” “Britt,” Nappanee Police Department Canine Unit, and Cpl. Phil Hahn were called to the scene. The dog was unable to pick up the scent so it believed that the suspect entered a vehicle parked close to the scene.
