Club Notes... GENEALOGY SOCIETY The Elkhart County Genealogy Society will meet Thursday, November 19, 7p.m., at the Elkhart City Public Library, 302 S. Second St. Edie Gray, soc : >y vice-president, will speak about the “Family Tree” compiler genealogy program. The public is welcome. TOPS 425 Nappanee Tops 425 met Monday morning, at the First Church of God. CR7, with the leader, Nancy Hershberger, presiding. Weigh-in begins at Ba.m., with the meeting starting at 9:15a.m. New members are welcome. The Tops Song was sung, and the secretary and treasurer offered their reports. Roll call was taken, with Nancy Hershberger as the week’s best loser. Sue Lehman was welcomed as anew member. The challenge for this week is to think before eating a snack —”Do I really need it?” and “Am I really hungry?” The fall AIM meeting will be held Tuesday, November 17, at the Bethel Assembly Fellowship Hall, Elkhart. Members played “Bingo” with diet words. Lois Miller and Lydia Weaver were winners, with each receiving a prize. The leader read a poem concerning losing weight.

Carry-in dinner to celebrate holiday

Nappanee’s Senior Center, Elder Haus, located at 258 E. Market St., is open Monday through Friday, with special activities planned daily. A carry-in dinner, with Elder Haus providing turkey and dressing, will take place Wednesday, November 18, at noon. Please bring other salads and desserts to share, and your own table service, and join in this special time of food and fellowship. Health screening is scheduled for Thursday, November 12, from 10-11a.m. Quilting is enjoyed all day on Mondays and Fridays, providing an excellent time for fellowship. Come and plan to spend the day. There is a microwave available for heating soups and sandwiches. Pinochle begins at Ip.m. Mondays, and Euchre and other games at Ip.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.
