POPULAR PARADE—The Nappanee Apple Festival Parade is fast becoming one of the annual event's most popular activities, with a variety of entries making this year's parade both interesting and attractive for festi-val-goers. Among this year's entries, watched by a record-breaking crowd in sunny, pleasant weather, were a walking unit from the American Girls' Club, an attractive float from the WaNee Waves Swim Club, a truck entry from the Advance-News, filled with AN fans, and future fans (and a good supply of "hometown news," and Gary Newcomer, who got an unusually-interesting look at the parade and watchers from his "perch" atop the boom of the Newcomer Service truck.
