Harvey Hochstetler, charged with speeding 53mph in a 30mph zone, paid total fine and costs of $98.50. Jason Brennaman, charged with unreasonable speed, paid total fine and costs of $100.50. John Gichachi, charged with operating while intoxicated, paid total fine and costs of $575.50; also charged with operating while intoxicated, paid total fine and costs of $ 1,000. Benjamin Purcell, charged with child restraint under the age of three, paid total fine and costs of $100.50. Kenneth Owen, charged with possession of police radio, paid total fine and costs of $225.50. Nicolas Rodriguez, charged with never having been licensed, paid total fine and costs of $175.50. Jeffrey Dawson, charged with false and fictitious registration, paid total fine and costs of $80.50. Paul Schrock, charged with possession of tobacco by minor, paid total fine and costs of $100.50. Parade entries sought for festival
Entry forms for the 1998 Nappanee Apple Festival Parade are available now at the Nappanee Area Chamber of Commerce office, 215 W, Market- St. The parade is set for Saturday morning, September 19, kicking off promptly at 11a.m. The parade will feature entrants in several categories, including musical units (bands), drill units (non-musical), children’s walking units, children’s floats, adult walking float, antique tractors, commercial floats, non-commercial floats, general automotive nonantique, antique cars, misc. and horse-drawn units. All entries are due by September 18, with first place (S4O) and second place (S2O) awarded in each classification. Judging will include originality, costume/dress, appearance and performance. Each unit will be judged in just one category. Entries are asked to check in at 8:30a.m., at the Town & Country Shopping Center, and must be in place by 10a.m., or they will not be eligible forjudging. Judging will
