NWHS drama students present popular comedy
The North Wood High School Drama Department will present its fall production, “You Can’t Take It With You,” Friday, Saturday and Sunday, November 14-16, in the high school auditorium. There is no more popular comedy in American theatre than this zany satire, written in 1936, in the middle of the Depression. Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman’s play has maintained its vigor through more than 60 years. Although times have changed since 1936, when Grandpa Vanderhof, the wise old man of the comedy’s family, says he doesn’t pay income tax because he doesn’t believe in it, he is still cheered on; and when he prays to the Man Upstairs to let everyone “just go along and be happy in our own sort of way,” we say “Amen” to that.

This cast, filled with such delightful personalities, is sure to please any audience. Cast members include Angela
