Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin David Metz are making their home at 206 W. Walnut St., Nappanee, following their August 15 wedding, and a honeymoon in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. The new Mrs. Metz is the former Carrie Ann Bouck, daughter of Dr. Brian and Shirlee Bouck, Waterloo, lowa. Her husband’s parents are Marc and Sue Ann Metz, 8066 W 1050N, Nappanee. Pastor Jim McClennan performed the evening candlelight ceremony at Cedar Valley Community Church in Waterloo, in the presence of 420 guests. Special music was provided by Angela Hattery and Matt Dunkerton, vocalists; Ryan Dubes, pianist, and Dan Bogart, saxophonist. The bride chose a white silk gown featuring a cathedral-length blusher veil, sweetheart neckline and beaded and sequined bodice. She carried a bouquet of lillies and roses. Bridal attendants were Keri Bossard, maid of honor, and Holly Bouck and Stephanie Bouck, sisters of the bride, Lynelle Peugh, Kelly Witt, Sarah Rowenhorst,

Julie Mullenix and Angela Dunlarton, bridesmaids. Alexa Denherder served as flowfer girl. Attendants wore sleeveless black dresses with black gloves and pearl earrings and necklaces, and each carried a dozen white roses. Attending the groom were Jason Kuhn, best man, and Matthew Metz, Jonathan Metz and Peter Metz, his brothers, Abbot Martin, Nic Davis, Jerame Yoder and Chris Becker, groomsmen. Ushers were Lloyd Wileman and Charles Thompson, and junior attendants were Daniel and Amy Metz, brother and sister of the groom. Mr. and Mrs. Eaton, Dr. and Mrs. Derherder and Mr. and Mrs. Reed were assisting hosts and hostesses. A reception dinner followed the ceremony, at the Sunnyside Country Club in Waterloo. The bride is an uqdergraduate student at Grace College, Warsaw, studying counseling. She is currently in the graduate program for a masters in counseling, and will graduate in May from Grace. Her husband attended Grace College, and works with his family business, Steambrite.

Thursday, October 16- —grapefruit juice, turkey ala king over biscuit with margarine, green beans, cucumbers vinaigrette, pumpkin pie with whipped topping and choice of milk, tea or coffee. Friday, October 17 —apricot nectar, fajita chicken strips, rice, capri blend vegetables, dinner roll with margarine, blushing pears and choice of milk, tea or coffee.
Theatre outing for seniors this week
Nappanee’s senior center. Elder Haus, located at 258 E. Market St., is open Monday through Friday, and provides a variety of activities. For a monthly calendar and special announcements, place your name on the mailing list by calling the center, 773-2424. Reservations are needed for the Wednesday, October 22 luncheon of ham and navy beans, gingerbread and salad. The price is just $2 per person, with the meal served at noon. Pinochle is enjoyed every Monday at 1 p.m., with Euchre and games beginning at I p.m. Tuesday

The center will sponsor a group outing to the Amish Acres Round Bam Theatre, for “The Baker’s Wife,” Thursday, October 16. Make your reservations immediately, by calling the center, and pick up your tickets at the Elder Haus on the 16th. The special price is just sl2 per person. Looking ahead: there will be a carry-in dinner at Elder Haus, Wednesday, October 29, at noon. The center will provide roast beef, and you are asked to bring other dishes of food to share, as well as your own table service.
Club notes... HOMEMAKERS’ CLUB The Federated Home Makers’ Club will host its annual luncheon, TUesday, October 21, at the First Church of God, CR7, Nappanee. Registration will begin at 11a.m. and will be followed by the noon meal. Mr. Dale Stutzman , Goshen, will be speaking on Johnny Appleseed. Reservations need to be made by Friday, October 17, by calling Pauline Stahley, 773-4417. GENEALOGICAL SOCIETY The Elkhart County Genealogical Society will meet Thursday, October 23, at the First Presbyterian Church, 200 East Beardsley, Elkhart. The program will be titled “Researching Elkhart County Land, Mortgage and Misc. records,” and be given by Edie Gray. Feel free to bring copies of unusual county records you have found to share with other members. (Remember that types of resources that exist in Elkhart County probably exist in other locations as well.

Exchange vows
Shelly and Todd Hochstetler exchanged wedding vows August 23, before 300 guests at the Oakwood Inn on Lake Wawasee. Pastor David Harper performed the ceremony. Shelly is the daughter of Gene and Carol Henschen, 951 East John Street, Nappanee. Todd’s parents are Pete Hochstetler, Wolcottville, and Rosie Walchle, Howe. Renee Schwartz was the matron of honor for the event. Bridesmaids were Brandi Miller, Tammy Vannest, Amy Hochstetler, Kim Guinn, Kristy Hochstetler and Kris Henschen. Chad Hochstetler was the groom’s best man. Serving as groomsmen and ushers were Marc Whited, Josh Logan, Rob Henschen, Brian McCammon, Matt Schwartz and Andy Hunter. musical and song accompaniments for the marriage ceremony. A reception hosted by Tom and Karen Loucks at Oakwood Inn followed the event. The couple honeymooned on Marco Island, Florida, before returning to the area to reside at 612 East Nokomis, Syracuse. The former Miss Henschen is a North Wood High School graduate. Mr. Hochstetler is a Lakeland High School grad. Both earned Bachelor of Science degrees in business administration from Ball State University. Shelly is currently employed by Tom Loucks CPA & Associates. Todd works for Pete’s Construction, Wolcottville.
Plan golden anniversary celebration Carl and Marge (Kelly) Robinson, 3483 N M 37, will be celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Sunday, October 26, with an open house from 2-5p.m., at the office building board room of the Elkhart County Fairgrounds (Gate 2). Hosts fortbeevent will be their fchildrefr, Gdfie *nd Rosemary Robinson, Nappanee, Bill and Carole Burris, Casey, IL, Jerry and Shelley Robinson, Chattanooga, TN, and Sue Robinson, Elkhart. The Robinsons were married November 15, 1947, in Chicago, IL. Carl is a retired track driver of 41 years and Marge is a homemaker. The Robinsons have 14 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchil-dren. They are requesting NO gifts other than the presence of their guests.
