Persons who receive at least one hour of free training are eligible to become a member of the Color Copier User Club. Benefits include additional free training, discounted pricing and free test copies. More than 70 'bidders' attended, with the library collecting a total of $3,776 in book bucks. The highest-selling items were Beanie Babies, for $l5O, and a Tony the Tiger baseball and picture, sold for $l2O. Special thanks to Pantry Plus for providing popcorn, Martin's Super Market for donating pop and popcorn cones, and auctioneer Cletis Miller, for donating his time and effort. (Library photos)

The event will take place at the Gunter and Erika Kison Farm, 63620 Maple Rd., south of South Bend ....... S? Ba.m., with donuts and coffee served, followed by announcements, and the first sessions at 9a.m. Topics for sessions include Native Species—Purposes and Practical Application, Butterfly Garden/Pond, Landscaping with Native Species, Woodland Management/Tree Planting, Turkey Management, Old Growth Woods, Carpentry, Trespassing/Liability, The Art of Wetlands, and Tree Safety. There will also be exhibits, displays and lunch, with reservations for the lunch due by September 12.
