seasons. The first, quarterback Matt LaFree,passed for 919 yards and seven touchdowns last season. David Slos, one of LaFree’s favorite targets, returns having caught 17 passes for 231 yards as a junior. Both Slos and LaFree are also linebackers. Slos was Bremen’s second leading tackier in 1996. Junior Aric Bollenbacher and senior Ray McDonald are two returning lettermen in the secondary for the Lions. Bollenbacher saw plenty of

playing time as a defensive back with McDonald dedicating his efforts at a safety position. Senior Jesse Bohannon is back after seeing time as a defensive lineman a year ago. The Lions have several seniors hoping for minutes on the line including center/tackle Adam Yoder, tackles Keith Brown, Shawn Newell and Curtis Sumpter and tight end/end Adam Faulstich. • See Lions, Page 8
