patrons crowded the grounds at Amish Acres last week for the 35th annual Arts & Crafts Festival. Nappanee's own Robert Lutes, top right, has been an exhibitor for 14 years, earning a previous Best of Show Award, and top honors this year in the arts and crafts category for his popular hand-crafted knives. He joined over 300 other exhibitors in the marketplace, with festival-goers also treated to a variety of entertainment and food items. New to this year's fourday festival were the paddle boats (swan boat shown here), with the children especially enjoying the chance to join the ducks and geese on the farm pond. In addition, the thousands of persons who flocked to the award-winning event, had opportunity to tour the historic farm, enjoy a buggy ride or the famous thresher's dinner, and take in a showing of the Round Barn Theatre's productions of "Plain & Fancy' and "The Music Man.'
