The van was stopped at the intersection of US6 and CR9, and upon approaching the vehicle, the officers noticed a case of beer on the floorboard. The driver, identified as 19-year-old Merl J. tions of the migratory waterfowl, game bird habitat and trout/salmon stamps. Artwork will also be selected for the 1997-98 and 199899 Hoosier Outdoor calendars. The four categories are migratory waterfowl, game bird habitat, trout/salmon and Hoosier Outdoor Calendar. Each will be judged on design, anatomical accuracy, and suitability for printing. Winning artists in each category will receive $750. Artwork receiving honorable mention recognition will be featured in the calendar. The full-color Hoosier Outdoor Calendar features unique fish and wildlife facts such as breeding seasons, hunting and trapping dates, and historical facts. Hoosier sportsmen and women have purchased fishing and hunting stamps for years. The Indiana stamp program began in 1952 with the Trout stamp, which helped fund the management of trout in Indiana. Each stamp, accompanied by a license, is required in Indiana to hunt or fish for its represented species. Entries for the art contest will be accepted between January 15 and April 15. To receive an entry form and contest rules, write to Stamp and Calendar Contest, Division of Fish and Wildlife, 402 W. Washington St., Room W 273, Indianapolis, Indiana 46204, or call 317-232-4080.
