Offer stress management session „ Feeling stressed? “Four Simple Steps...to Relax” is a program focusing upon stress management, to be presented Wednesday, April 24, 10:30a.m., at the Nappanee Public Library, 157 N. Special breathing exercises, techniques for neck and extremities, reflective focus, and stretching movements will induce a positive glow. Older adults frequently experience episodes of anxiety, or periods of depression, or overwhelming feelings related to living alone, impaired health, or concerns for the future. Procedures for relaxing can be invigorating, will help to relieve tension, and enable inner-coping strength. Older adults often use too much medication (or alcohol) for stress relief, which can be disastrous. Noon Kiwanis Club is led by Mark Hutsell
The Nappanee Noon Kiwanis Club meets each Monday noon, at Dal Mar Banguet Hall, 159 E. Lincoln St., Nappanee. Visitors are welcome. Club officers include Mark Hutsell, president; Bobbie Wilson, vice-president; Sid Lefebvre, secretary, and Phil Marsh, treasurer. Seniors learn to manage stress Senior citizens are invited to learn to manage stress at the Nappanee Public Library , Wednesday, April 24, at 10:30a.m. Emily Good, Director of Foundations for Health, will explain the benefits of “breathe, massage, reflect and stretch.” The program is sponsored by the Elkhart County YWCA Senior Center, and there is no fee to attend.
