HOLIDAY PLAY—Students of Peg Germann's third grade class, using backdrops and costumes they made themselves, performed "Twos The Night Before Thanksgiving* from the book by Dav Pjlkey for Woodview Elementary School recently. However, it was done in a unique way—using a 'zap shot* camera, teacher's assistant Lori Hahn, student teacher LaDora Kronk and inclusion teacher Joan Calvin helped Mrs. Germann set up each shot, in the order

Charged for intoxication Officer Weaver, of the Nappanee Police Department, observed a black 1984 Pontiac traveling east on US6 through Nappanee, at approximately 3a.m. Monday, November 20. Weaver noticed signs of an intoxicated driver, after following the car for a distance to observe. The car was stopped, and the driver was identified as Ramon Dominguez, 41, Scott St., Warsaw. Dominguez failed a series of field sobriety tests, and was then transported to the Elkhart County Jail, where he failed a chemical test for intoxication. He was then booked into the jail on a $3,000 bond, on the charge of driving while intoxicated second offense, pending a hearing. Bus trips planned Two Friends of the Nappanee Public Library bus trips, which are coming in 1996, would make excellent Christmas gifts. The first is the musical “Showboat,” at the Auditorium Theatre in Chicago July 20, 1996. The seats for this Saturday matinee performance are in a block on the main floor. Flyers with details about this exciting performance arc available at the Adult Services Desk. Participants will board a 47-pas-senger Cardinal bus and depart from the library at Ba.m. for Chicago. The day includes a leisurely lunch at Water Tower Place, the 2p.m. “Showboat” matinee and a one-hour dinner stop in Merrillville on the return trip. The bus will return to the library by 9p.m. The nonrefundable tickets cost %81, including transportation and a matinee ticket; meals are not included.. The second bus trip is to Market Square Arena in Indianapolis Sunday, April 21. Enjoy the excitement of the Pacers’ final game of the season, against the Cleveland Cavaliers. The seats are in the high upper level in corner section 16, so bring binoculars. Participants will depart from the library at 10a.m. on a 49passenger Cardinal bus, returning to the library by 9p.m. The nonrefundable tickets cost $46 including transportation, but not including meals. Orders made now will be acknowledged with a decorative Christmas gift certificate for each individual reservation. Persons who register together will be seated together. Make checks payable to the Friends of the Library. Consider these bus trips in your Christmas gift-giving, for the music lover and the sports fan.
