win. Coach Dan Gunn reported, “When we were gambling and impatient defensively, we were giving up shots and they hit them. When we stayed at home, it worked out better.” Once again, Hirschy and Wise were the scoring leaders, each with an 18-point output, while Matt Swihart was also in double figures with 10 points. Tom Duncan, who Gunn singled out for comment, also scored nine points. Of Duncan, the coach reported, “he played with some enthusiasm, made some passes and some steals, and picked up the pressure.” The senior also grabbed seven rebounds. Gunn continued, “It was a pretty unemotional game on our part, and John Glenn played well. I didn’t think we were very sharp.” North Wood put the game away by sinking 11 -18 free throws in the final stanza. Leeper also collected a game-high 12 rebounds to go with his offensive output, andc • Glenn Coach Gordon Mosson reported, “Leeper’s a nice player inside —he’s a leaper.
