Frazer to tell of death'” experience The next meeting of the Women’s Aglow Fellowship will be held Monday, November 21, at Maple City Chapel, 423 Jefferson Street, Goshen. The social time will begin at 6:30p.m., and the meeting at 7p.m. There is a $2 per person charge for room rental. This month’s speaker will be Kay Frazer, a born-again, spiritfilled Christian from Kokomo. On July 1, 1973, she was killed in an equestrian accident, and was dead for 10 minutes. You are invited to come hear the story of how she came to be in the air with Jesus Christ, and hear about her life-after-death experiences. She will also tell of the Life-Mastering Angel who came to the accident scene, and of the sheer joy she felt in dying. Ladies are invited to bring their friends. For more information, call 862-4824.

Elder Haus plans trip to area floral shops
Senior members of the Nappanee community are invited to become active in the programs of the local senior center, Elder ' Haus, located at 258 E. Market St. The center is open Monday through Friday for a variety of activities, including quilting all day on Monday and Friday, Pinochle and Canasta at Ip.m. Monday, and Euchre and games at lp.m. Thursday. If you would like to spend the day, bring a sack lunch. There is a microwave available for heating soups and sandwiches. Wednesday, November 23, has been set aside for bingo. Please bring two gifts to be used as prizes. This activity will begin at 1:30p.m. A Christmas “jaunt” to area floral shops is planned for Wednesday, November 30. Club notes TRI KAPPA The November 8 meeting of Zeta Nu Chapter of Tri Kappa was held at the home of Laura Zell, with Nancy Roeder, Terry Swihart and Linda Hirschy as co-hostesses. The highlight of the meeting was the pledging of nine new members, who will be initiated in January. Santa Breakfast Chairperson Lpri Sumpter reported that the breakfast will take place December 3, 9:30a.m., at Amish Acres. This is open to the public, for all Wa-Nee elementary and pre-school children. The Tri Kappa Christmas auction, a self-fund-raiser, for members and a guest, will be held December 13. The business sesson will begin at 7p.m., with the auction to follow at 7:30p.m. All members are to donate S2O worth of items, whether or not they attend, to assure success of this project. Tri Kappa State Convention will be April 21-22, with all members encouraged to attend. Those interested are to contact Kim Moore by November 25. THIRD DISTRICT The Third District of the American Legion will hold its monthly meeting, Saturday, November 26, Bp.m., at Frank and Edward Skwiat Post #451, 121 Skwiat Legion Ave., Michigan City. TOPS 425 Nappanee Tops IN. 425 met Monday morning at First Church of God, with the leader, Lois Miller, presiding. The Tops song was sung, and the secretary and treasurer gave their reports. Roll call was taken, with 29 members weighing in, recording a total weight loss of 20 pounds for the week. Marlene Martin was the week’s best loser, and Priscilla Hope went home with Carolyn Martin. The month of October found Phyllis Ganger as best loser. The Christmas party will be held December 5. Videos for deaf available at Nappanee library The Nappanee Public Library, in cooperation with the St. Joseph County Public Library, has access to over 190 VHS videotapes and several assistive listening devices. Videotape topics include sign language instruction, children’s stories, health, deaf literature and deaf culture. These videos are in American Sign Language, and various signed English. Assistive listening devices are designed for hard-of-hearing individuals, to increase their level of hearing. These materials were partially funded by a grant from the Indiana State Library Service Construction Act Title 1. Also available for loan is a close-captioned device.
