Select season tickets for NW basketball

The following time schedule ' will be used in distributing season tickets for basketball games at North Wood High School. • It is not necessary that you attend in person to select your seats. You may send a representa- ■ live. You should attend only during tiie time your name appears in a specific group. Groups will not be taken ahead of time schedule, and "only in the order drawn. If you report late, and your place in line has passed, you may select ■ your ticket at the end of your par- • ticular group. Four members of the North Wood High School soccer team have earned All-Conference status, according to information released by coaches following

The Northern Lakes Conference coaches panel has selected its annual all-conference volleyball team, with three membes of the Panther squad earning special recognition. Named all-conference were Jami Heckaman and Heather Weidenhaft, both seniors, while Megan Newcomer, a junior, earned honorable mention status. Penny Salm, Warsaw, was named conference Coach of the Year, wi tlx her 6-o Tiger team finishing atop the league. North Wood was second along with Plymouth, at 4-2, while Concord, Goshen and Northridge finished 2-4, and Wawasee trailed at 1-5. The Panthers also earned a sectional title at Northridge.

Nine members of the North Wood Panther football squad and Coach Rich Dodson have received Northern Lakes Conference honors, according to information released last week. Dodson, who guided his squad to a second straight undefeated regular season, and second straight conference crown, was selected NLC Coach of the Year. In addition, seven varsity Panthers were named to first-team All-NLC status, and two received honorable mention. Named to the first team offense are senior lineman Cory Weatherton and backs Nate Andrews, a junior and senior Chad Newcomer. First team defense includes senior lineman Cory Yoder, senior linebackers Brad Baker and

Joining the Panther honorees were three players from Goshen, five from Concord, four from Wawasee and two from Northridge. John Turco, Wawasee, was named quarterback for the NLC team. He has thrown 25 touchdown passes for the Warriors. Selections are made during a meeting of Northern Lakes Conference coaches, following the completion of regular-season play. Andrews has scored 14 touchdowns for the Panthers and Newcomer added eight, while Yoder, Baker, Duncan and Cook have led a Panther defense that allowed just 44 points in nine games.
