Library offers tour New cardholders and those interested in learning more about library services are invited to attend a guided tour of the Nappanee Public Library, Monday, September 12, at 7p.m. In addition to discovering where to find current bestsellers, or the latest business information, participants will be introduced to the special prints, cameras and compact discs for loan. To help new residents become familiar with the library, tours are offered the second Monday of each month. Anyone interested in learning more about library services is invited to attend. For more information, contact the Nappanee Public Library, 773-7919. • Crime Stoppers This week’s Crime of the Week comes from the unsolved files of the Elkhart City Police Department Twenty-five-year-old Tyrone McSwain, a resident of Laurel, Mississippi, was a frequent visitor to the Elkhart area. He had been temporarily living at 1213 Blaine St., Elkhart. Friends say that he had been back in Elkhart for about two weeks, when, Thursday, December 12, 1989, he reportedly left the Blaine St. address at around 8:30a.m. At 1:52p.m„ that same day, he was found in an alley in the 1500 block of 10th Street. An x-ray revealed that he had been shot once in the head. Elkhart police need your help to bring his murderer to justice. FAMILY FUN-The annual fly-in, held Sunday at the Nappanee Airport, provided a variety of fun activities for persons of all ages.
