Library offers tour New cardholders and those interested in teaming more about library services are invited to attend a guided tour of the Nappanee Public Library, Monday, July 11, at 7p.m. In addition to discovering where to find current bestsellers, or the latest business information, participants will be introduced to the special services available. These will include items such as the Bible Library, Books in Print Plus with Reviews, The Columbia Granger’s World of Poetry, Compton’s Multi-Media Encyclopedia, Magazine Article Summaries, and Sweet’s Catalog File on compact disc, computers, and typewriters for use in the library, and art prints, cameras and compact discs for loan. North Wood grad dies in accident Martin Moneyheffer, 21, 22397 CR44, New Paris, a 1991 graduate of North Wood High School, died Monday, June 27, in an industrial accident at Conway Central Express, South Bend. According to reports, Moneyheffer was working alone, unloading a trailer in the company’s shipping and receiving department, when items on the trailer fell, trapping him. Fellow employees discovered Moneyheffer and called for help. Several employees attempted to revive him before paramedics arrived. He was taken to Memorial Hospital of South Bend, where he died at 6:15p.m. Feb. 4, 1973-June 27, 1994 Martin Moneyheffer was bom February 4, 1973, in BetheSda, Maryland, and was a 1991 graduate of North Wood High School, in his third year at Bethel College, where he was majoring in business administration. He was a member of the Wakarusa Missionary Church. Surviving are his parents, John and Beth Moneyheffer, New Paris; his father, Martin Grostick, Phoenix, Arizona; a sister, Toky Moneyheffer, at home; a brother, John 111, at home; grandparents, Toky Armongton. New Paris; Harold and Martha Moneyheffer, Goshen, and Norman Grostick, Sun City, Arizona, and a great-grandfather, Charles Armington, Goshen. A grandfather, Richard Armington, died May 29,1991, and a grandmother, Jane Grostick, died in March, 1992. Private services were conducted by the Rev. David Dyck and the Rev. Dennis Leinbach, Thursday, with burial at New Paris Cemetery. Arrangements were with Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, Goshen. Memorials may be directed to Bethel College Basketball. Full color copier at library Copy your favorite family color snapshot, add spots of color to your presentation or report cover, or enlarge and add color to your organization’s special events poster. Whether you simply want a duplicate in full color, or want to be creative in preparing special reports, signs, posters and other projects, a full-color copier is now available at the Nappanee Public Library, for your use. Charges for the use of the color copier are $1.50 per copy, for letter and legal size, and $3 per copy, for Ilx 17-inch copies. Transparencies may be purchased at $5 per copy. Special training is not required to do simple copying, including enlargement and reduction. A users’ club is being formed, however, for those wanting to photocopy large quantities, or who want to be more creative. Club members will be invited to attend monthly meetings, to share new techniques and ideas. Benefits will include discounted pricing and free “test” copies. Requirements for participation in the club include at least one hour of free training that may be arranged by contacting the library. An open house featuring demonstrations of the new color copier will be held at the library, Thursday, July 14. Prices on all copies July 14 only, will be discounted to $1 per copy. Demonstrations by company representatives will be held from 2-4p.m. and 5-7p.m. The public is invited to attend. NEW FACELIFTS: Many area buildings are undergoing improvement changes. The Victorian Guest House (top) is being repainted in a color scheme to suit its style and splendor. Martin’s Hardware (middle) has had the outside paint sandblasted off and is receiving a fresh coat over the bricks and soffit areas. Obituary Joseph Miller Oct. 12, 1899 -July 3, 1994 Joseph M. Miller, 94, 70581 Windsor St., Nappanee, died Sunday, July 3, at Elkhart General Hospital, where he had been admitted earlier in the day. He had been ill for the past year. Bom October 12, 1899, in Wilford, North Dakota, he was the son of Menno J. and Sara (Slabaugh) Miller. He moved to Nappanee in 1910. He married Amanda M. Schmucker, February 18, 1923, in Nappanee, and she survives. Mr. Miller was a retired fanner, and had also worked in construction. He was a member of the Maple Lawn Amish Mennonite Church. Surviving with Mrs. Miller are three daughters: Mrs. Peter (Mary) Matthews, Goshen; Mrs. Marvin (Fannie Mae) Miller and Mrs. Erwin (Elizabeth) Tyson, both of Nappanee; five sons: Edward, Elkhart; Marvin J., Middlebury; Lester, Toledo, Ohio; Eli, Puyallup, Washington, and Joseph, Jr., South Bend; 20 grandchildren; 30 greatgrandchildren; one great-great-grandson; six step-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Maude Yoder, Goshen. He was preceded in death by four brothers: Ephriam, Harvey, Valentine and Martin; four sisters: Fannie Leichty, Katie Miller, Elnore Miller and AiAanda Stutzman; a grandson and a great-granddaughter. Friends may call at the Thompson & Yoder Funeral Home, Wednesday (today) from 2-4p.m. and 6-Bp.m. Services will be conducted at 10a.m. Thursday, July 7, at the Maple Lawn Amish Mennonite Church, by Paul Miller, John Mast and Steve Yoder, with burial at Union Center Cemetery.
