Three Reasons Why You Should Consider a Rollover IRA from IDS.

If your employer is discontinuing your qualified retirement plan... if you are changing jobs... or if you are retiring 500 n... you may receive a large lump sum of money from your retirement plan—money you will be taxed on unless you roll it over tax-free into another tax qualified plan or IRA. That is why IDS Financial Services Inc. suggests you consider an IRA Rollover. You will benefit from: 1. Tax-deferral... If you roll over an eligible distribution from a retirement plan into an IDS IRA within 60 days, you pay no taxes until withdrawal. Plus, your earnings continue to grow taxdeferred until the money is withdrawn. TO An American Express company ■a

Bulldog name a tradition

(Note--with all the current discussion as to naming the new elementary school, and choosing a mascot and colors, an interested patron provided a copy of an article appearing in The Nappanee Advance-News several years ago. A portion of the information is shared for those who find it hard to part with the Bulldog tradition and colors-perhaps you will want to suggest that the name be kept? See related article on this page for your chance to vote) Chet McCuen provided information regarding how the Bulldogs got their name. McCuen graduated in 1929 from Nappanee High School. He stated that in the spring of 1928, while on a baseball trip to LaPorte, he was riding with J.A. Abell, the school superintendent, when the subject of school names was brought up. Various titles and mascots were suggested, with McCuen suggesting “Bull-Dogs,” and adding that the dog of A.E. Wright could be used as a live mascot. McCuen goes on to state that in the 1929 Napanet yearbook, A.E.

Wright’s bulldog appeared in a photo, sitting with Herman “Dutch” Schuler, basketball coach. The name had been used off and on in the
