This is the first Hoosier Lottery ticket with an Olympic theme, and the game will benefit both Indiana and Olympic athletes. “This is a win-win situation for Indiana and the United States Olympic Committee,” said Hoosier Lottery Director Jean Blackwell. “We expect this game to be very well received by our players. That means more money for state coffers and support for the efforts of the USOC.” The top prize in “Winning Spirit” is SI,OOO. The game also incorporates the Hoosier Lottery’s weekly second chance drawing for $20,000. To enter the drawing, players may call the 900 telephone number printed on each ticket.

Park© County man wins contest

Indiana’s 1993 license plate will be a colorful salute to fanners and the state’s rural heritage, according to Gilbert L. Holmes, Commissioner for the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV), who unveiled the design today during a Statehouse news conference. The new license plate is based on a design submitted by 23-year-old Kevin Hoggatt, Rosedale, the winner of the 1993 License Plate Design Contest, sponsored by BMV. The design features a black silhouette of a farm scene, a yellow and red background sunrise scene and the slogan, ‘‘Amber Waves of Gram.” The slogan is derived from the song, “America, the Beautiful.” Hoggatt’s design was selected from among 1,600 entries received
